In modern society, raising the legal literacy of citizens, maintaining stability, and protecting the population from various destructive movements are of utmost importance. Particular attention is required to cultivate a safety culture among self-employed citizens, market workers, youth, and representatives of the culture and sports sectors. To this end, on July 28, special explanatory works were carried out with various target groups in the city of Kaskelen, as well as the villages of Shamalgan and Kyrgauldy in the Karasay district.
Meaningful meetings were held in Kaskelen at the «Birlik» and «Gulsim» markets, the district central library, the historical and local lore museum, and the Youth Resource Center, involving citizens on probation, culture workers, youth, and the self-employed. During these gatherings, Almasbek Shagyrbay, a theologian and member of the ATG (Anti-Terrorism Group), comprehensively explained ways to improve legal literacy and prevent the risk of being drawn into radical ideologies. The theologian highlighted various situations occurring in society and used clear, simple examples to demonstrate how foreign movements influence human consciousness and how to guard against them.
Another significant focus of the meetings was religious literacy and interethnic harmony. Led by Marat Kabylbek, a culture sector representative and ATG member, substantive discussions on interethnic accord, tolerance, and extremism prevention took place at the «Zhaksylyk» and «Barys» markets, as well as at the «Hamle Company LTD» foreign enterprise with representatives of various ethnic groups. In the «Khalifa Kazhy Altay» mosque in Kyrgauldy village, ways to protect against destructive religious influences were discussed with religious women, while explanatory work was conducted among athletes and coaches at the «Ushkonyr» children and youth sports school in Shamalgan. It was emphasized that strengthening unity among different ethnicities and groups serves as a robust barrier against any negative external influence.
Such important events, aimed at implementing the state’s policy in the field of religion and social harmony, will continue throughout the current year and will cover all target groups.
